On the 3rd of April 2013 the RAF section from Astor College CCF embarked on another camp, this time Easter camp at Royal Air Force Henlow in Bedfordshire.
We left early morning in the schools minibuses driven by the SSI Anton Krakowski and Mr.Mowat . When we got there it was all hands to the pump looking for our beds and looking for our irons and boards, as we had to iron our uniform to be present on a parade in half an hour.
Once we had our initial safety brief, we commenced with our camp, visiting the Centre for Aviation Medicine, the RAF police dog unit and the RAF Regiment.
Other activities that where carried out included off road driving in 4x4 vehicles, Go karting, Gliding, shooting rifles,(marksman badges were won),a night exercise stalking the enemy, and a visit to Hendon Aircraft Museum.
