2013 - Astor Young Enterprise Triumph!
Astor College’s Young Enterprise students are delighted to have won at the Dover District final Young Enterprise Company Programme with their company 'SnackBack'.
Snack Back produce a flat pack lunch box, which as well as holding food securely can then be ‘un-popped’ and folded down to fit in to a school bag.
Representing one of the six competing Dover district school companies, SnackBack won the Dover Area Final with its innovative plastic lunch box that can be taken apart and flat packed. Astor College beat off outstanding competition from Dover College, Sir Roger Manwood’s, Dover Boys Grammar and Dover Girls Grammar.

The students won awards for Best Company Report, a special award for Best Achiever won by Reece Jaconelli, and the coveted prize of best overall company. The students involved were Laura Johnson (MD), Shianne Kenmur (MD), Abi Howbrook, Jasmine Hayes, Kayleigh Biggs, Reece Jaconelli, Stanley Hall, Jack Sedgwick, Daniel Ellis, Jamie Barwell, Eleanor Lund, Jasmine Swan, Abby Parker, Laura Palmer and Jamie Giles. (All aged between 16-17, Year 12)

Snack Back will now go on to represent the Dover District Area at the Kent final on 1st May 2013 at The University of Greenwich, Chatham.
